As far as The Joy of Christmas goes, here is an upcoming list of dates and times for everyone’s reference:
Saturday, December 5th – Orientation
We are asking that as many volunteers as possible attend this Saturday morning orientation. At 9am, we will take a few moments to share about the event and get everyone acclimated to the venue and procedures. At 10am, we will all go out into the target neighborhoods and hand out flyers advertising the event.
Tuesday, December 8th – Make-Up Orientation
If you cannot attend Saturday morning’s orientation, please try to attend this meeting at 7pm.
Wednesday thru Friday – Work Days (as needed)
All food, toys and clothes will be sorted on these nights. They will be on a as-needed basis so we’ll be putting more info online and in our emails about this.
Saturday, December 12th – THE JOY OF CHRISTMAS
All volunteers must arrive by 7am on this morning. Check-in begins for the families at 7:30 so we’ve got to be ready to go. The event is scheduled to end around 10:30am.
Please let us know if you’d like to volunteer or donate. Also, feel free to ask any questions.

Give Toys – Save Big

Hi everyone. This starts our official event countdown – 4 weeks until The Joy of Christmas!
A couple of our restaurant drop-off points are offering discounts when you bring something to donate. Our site will detail those offers as we get more information.
We’d like everyone to know that we are in desperate need of 8-12 year old toys, items for teenage boys and canned goods and non-perishable food.
While we’re still working on the planning of the event, we have had a great response from the school community. Volunteers have been offered and we are working diligently to assign places and set dates for organization and sorting.
We’ll be posting information more frequently as the weeks go by. Here’s to a great weekend!
Boxes Are Out and We Are On Our Way

Thanks to everyone for making the planning part of this event more simple than I anticipated!
Throughout today and tomorrow, we will be placing the toy drop-off boxes out at our locations. I will update a list of locations as soon as we get it all set. The boxes will stay out until December 7th. We will post updates along the way. I can say that corporate response has been lacking – there are no businesses currently sponsoring our event. So, if you’d like to donate toys or food or time, please let us know and we’ll be glad to get anyone involved.
Lastly, be in prayer about the event. We desire to bless the community and be blessed by their response. We’re trusting in the Lord to provide and we shall not be disappointed.
Have a great day everyone! We’ll post more soon
