Frisco Reach Out exists to share the love of Jesus Christ to people and communities by providing for the practical needs of the vulnerable and the spiritual needs of the hopeless.
Becoming more involved beyond the walls of our home or our church is just inevitable once we experience the love of Christ.
We specifically enjoy providing school supplies, boxes of food, Christmas toys, gently-used clothing, toiletries, household items, and referrals or information at events we host throughout the year.
If someone can experience the vast love of the Lord through the humble hands of His servants, then our God can show up powerfully and transform a seemingly hopeless situation.
Reaching the World
In an attempt to express the love of Christ, we do radical things. We dare to believe the actions of a few can change the destiny of many. Even if the work we do in the North Texas area is not for everyone, we still desire to be a resource and connect individuals to the best service and worship opportunities nationwide.
Why & How vs. What & When
There are no small tasks and no unimportant jobs when we use our time, talents and abilities to love and serve others. When we look at WHY we serve, the struggle of sacrifice pales in comparison to the miracles we see happen right before our eyes. And asking HOW keeps our focus continually on the needs and the people we have the opportunity to bless and help. Many times, WHAT and WHEN are details that distract from the bigger picture and they can prevent us from jumping right in and doing the best we can, right where we are, with what we already have.
We need help all throughout the year. At our large, open community events and at our smaller seasonal gatherings, we need people to fellowship with our guests, cook and serve food, organize games and give out goodies. You can get involved as an individual, family, team or business. We don’t have any age restrictions and are happy to accommodate groups and special requests.
We encourage all of our volunteers to reach out to someone that’s been forsaken or forgotten, overlooked or in need. In both big and small ways, we hope to make our homes and our neighborhoods better. We can let others know that they are seen, heard, appreciated, respected and loved.
Our Fine Print
We are an entirely volunteer-driven organization. We believe that small groups can make a long-lasting and far-reaching impact. We also pour 100% of the donations we receive back into the community. At times, we’ve assisted in relief efforts around the US, so our resources have traveled far and wide, but we always maintain a local priority. Our founder and director has lived in Frisco for five generations and Frisco Reach Out was a deliberate answer to the needs that arose as our city grew. We have a unique perspective that helps us serve paycheck-to-paycheck families, as well as the homeless, the overlooked and the people that fall through the cracks. We call it Serving in Suburbia… and there will be more on that soon.
